For Those Who Labor, Wander, and Defend.

Welcome to Soteria Forge, where old-world craftsmanship meets a life lived close to the land. I forge each blade by hand, using only the finest materials and methods that honor the traditions of the 18th century. My work draws from a time when every tool had a purpose and every mark on the steel told a story. While much of what I make is faithful to the blades carried by explorers and frontiersmen of long ago, I also craft a few modern tools built for bushcraft—sturdy, reliable pieces meant to serve you well in the field. Whether you’re drawn to history, the craft, or the call of the outdoors, I hope you find something here that feels both timeless and true.

We produce heirloom quality edged tools using the best materials available.

Reproduction

Each reproduction piece is researched, hand-forged, and finished to reflect the materials and methods of the time. My goal isn’t just to make something that looks old—it’s to craft something that feels and performs as it would have in its own century.

Bushcraft

Each knife is handmade from high-quality steel, designed for balance, strength, and reliability when it matters most. Whether you’re carving camp tools, preparing food by the fire, or exploring deep in the woods, these blades are made to handle the work and last a lifetime.

Workshops

You’ll learn the basics of shaping, grinding, and finishing a blade, guided step-by-step through the entire process. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn and get your hands a little dirty. By the end of the class, you’ll take home a knife you forged with your own two hands.

We welcome homeschool families for hands-on workshops.

We’re happy to work with homeschool families to create a hands-on workshop that fits their schedule and interests. Whether it’s a beginner knifemaking class or a simple leather project, we’ll tailor the experience to your family’s age range and comfort level. It’s a chance to learn real skills, ask questions, and see how fire, steel, and leather come together in a way that’s both practical and meaningful. Every family learns a little differently, and we’re glad to make space for that.

Check out our schedule to catch us at an event near you.

Our family travels to 18th- and 19th-century living history events and reenactments throughout the year, bringing our forge work along for others to see and handle. We love setting up among the tents and trade goods, sharing not just the finished pieces but the stories and methods behind them. There’s something special about meeting people who value the craftsmanship and history that inspire each blade. Every event feels like a small step back in time, and we’re grateful for the chance to connect with others who share a love for the old ways.
